What Is a Divan Base?

Divan bases are manufactured using strong durable wood, this wooden frame is then covered with the fabric of your choice. Our divan bases are supplied with beautiful chrome glides, these add a touch of style and elegance to the divans. If you want a different style of feet, that's no problem. Just get in touch with our customer service team and they can talk you through the options. Divan bases are supplied in 1 solid piece in single and 2 pieces in double upwards.

Types Of Divan Base

As we manufacture divans in our factory, you can choose from a variety of options to find the perfect one to suit your requirements.

Reinforced Divan Base

Looking for something a little more heavy-duty? Our reinforced divan bases can support up to 24 stone in single and 48 stone in double upwards. With reinforced sides and a sturdy wooden top, our reinforced divan is super tough and durable.

Low Divan Base

Our low divan base is ideal if you have limited mobility or ceiling space. Our low divan bases are just 10” high, or 11.5” with the feet on. Our standard divans are 15.5” high.

High Divan base

Popular for those looking for a little extra height. A fantastic choice if you need your bed at a higher elevation. At 20” high they are perfect for reducing how far you need to bed down to get into bed. Our standard divans are 15.5” high.

Firm Edge Sprung Divan Base

With its super soft feel, a firm edge base includes our top-quality springs. These help to enhance the comfort provided by your mattress. The firm edge helps give support when sitting on the end of your bed, this reduces the roll to the side of the bed.

Split Divan Base

One of our most popular divan bases, the split base means you can take your brand new divan up tighter staircases or through smaller doors. Single bases are split into 2 pieces and double upwards are split into 4 pieces. For more information on this check out the product specifications on each divan.

Divan Bed Storage Options

Not only can you choose your own fabric and type of base, but you can also choose your own storage options too.

Drawers

With a choice of 2 or 4 drawers, there's plenty of room to store bedding, extra pillows or even bits and bobs to tidy up your bedroom. On a single base you can have a maximum of 2 drawers, on a double upwards you can have 4 drawers.

Slider

If you’re looking for something with a little more height, the slider is perfect for storing suitcases and other larger items.

Ottoman

The ultimate discreet storage option. Ottoman bases open from the bottom of the bed using perfectly sized cutouts. With the quality gas pistons, it’s easy to open up your base and reveal a plethora of storage below. Our divan bases come with an internal storage depth of 26cm!
